Fishing for Charity
July 29th 2007 saw the first charity match, and fun day sponsered, and run by Ashfield Angling Association.
22 members and friends turned out for the Pat Dunn Memorial fishing match, but fishing took second place on a day that was really about family fun, and remembrance, and it was fully supported by hundreds of local friends of Sutton Lawn, and family and friends of the angling association, even the sun shone brightly and a great day was had by all.
The Ashfield Angling Committee would like to thank everyone for turning out to make the day such a success, including all who took part in the match, everyone who donated their time, helped out with food, drinks, the raffle, bouncy castle, and most of all the kindnest of people who provided gifts and donations, which amounted to   £400, which will be donated to our local John Eastwood Hospice.
Kim of Kink-Cakes was responsible for this magnificent scene of our lake, all edible, which we gave as 1st price in the raffle.

This years charity fishing match/fun day took place on   Sunday August 3rd 2008.
The weather was very good to us again and lots of friends & family turned out to support the event.
The fishing match was supported by 21 anglers and we made a early start at 6am.
Raffles, tombola, and fun games took place throughout the day,   and £300 was raised for John Eastwood Hospice.
Thanks to everyone who fished, and took part in our day in memory of Pat Dunn.
