Sutton Lawn Dam Fishery is open from May 1st until March 15th, fishing is allowed from dawn to dusk, night fishing is permitted for members only.
The water depths range from around 3 feet on the Lawn Side, to 10 feet on the Sheepwash side, and then back to 3-4 feet Mickey's side.
We also have a wildlife section, where fishing is not permitted, a kind of sanctuary for the nesting Swans, Coots, Moorhens, Grebes and various Ducks.This section is clearly marked on both sides of the lake.
Bait Bans & Rules of Fishery
No bloodworm or joker allowed.
No nut baits allowed.
Barbless hooks to be used at all times.
Only 1kg of groundbait to be used in one session.
No livebaiting.
No fish over 3lb to be kept in keepnets(except in a match)
Fishing allowed only from permanant platforms.
Keepnets are allowed, but fish to be kept for only a maximum of 6 hours at any one time.
No Carp or Pike allowed in keepnets.
No fishing without a landing net.
No fish to be taken away.
No litter to be left, please use location bins or take litter home.
No breaking of branches from trees allowed.
Night fishing for members only. No night fishing between pegs 5 and 22
Cars to be parked in carpark only, and are left entirely at car owners risk.
All fisherman to produce a valid EA rod licence on request by any bailiff or association member.(2008 licence now available)
